As you’ve hopefully heard by now, yesterday the health authorities of British Columbia announced an extension of the current lock down. New rules for controlling the spread of COVID-19 were introduced, ranging from mandatory masks in indoor public and retail spaces to increased restrictions upon social gatherings (now limited to household members only).

The new restrictions also extend to worship gatherings. We remain committed to collaborating with our authorities and to pursuing love. Therefore all our in-person gatherings are suspended until further notice.

We know virtual connection can be tiring, but we need one another during this time. During these restrictions, please prioritize connecting virtually with us on Sundays at 10:00am, as well as connecting with your Community Group. If you are not yet in a group, please join one.

I want to invite you to also prioritize times of silence and solitude with Christ. God is our refuge and strength, a present help in times a need (Ps 46:1). For example, take 10 minutes and meditate upon Psalm 131:

My heart is not proud, Lord, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.

I know these are distressing times but my prayer and hope is that we might find our souls calmed in the presence of Jesus.

We understand these social measures are trying and tiring. If you need support, whether emotional or financial, please reach out. You can schedule an appointment with a pastor, or contact us for more information.
