The book of Daniel was written by an exile for exiles. It is designed to answer the questions, “How shall we live in a foreign land? And, how do we fit in without being swallowed up?” No matter what century or country you live in, if you believe in Jesus, you become a “citizen of heaven” and as a result you are now an “exile” here on earth. Daniel teaches us how to live faithfully as exile as we seek the welfare of our own city.
