The author of Hebrews wants to remind the church: there is a better way, a truer path, a more exhilarating journey, a more meaningful life, a clearer voice of God — that can only be discovered in Jesus Christ. Whatever you may want to pursue, whoever you may want to devote your life to: Jesus is better. There will be challenges and costs when we follow Jesus in this world, but you’ll always gain more than whatever you leave behind.
