Advent plumbs the depths of human experience, and ushers us to re-orient our lives around the joyful expectancy of our returning King. While we wait, we embrace lament-filled expectation and sing with hopeful and anticipatory joy in the city that is not our final home. During Advent we remember fulfillment of promises-past, and recast our gaze upon the assurance of those divine promises yet to be fulfilled.
