One of the most powerful pictures of the kingdom of God is a great banquet feast. We laugh. We feast. We celebrate in the presence of God with all his guests. In this series, we will sit down at God’s table of undeserving friends and take in the unexpected guests that accompany us — sex trade workers, Queens, the crippled, foreigners, those we once hated, military captains, widows, and even sinners. As we lock eyes with those seated around us, our hope is that God’s extravagant grace will lead us to welcome all people as he has welcomed us.
